United Cooperative Employee Referral Program

Employees are encouraged to recommend United Cooperative as an employer to their friends and acquaintances.

  • An employee will receive a $300 referral bonus if a recommended employee is hired full time.
  • An employee will receive a $200 referral bonus if a recommended employee is hired part time or seasonal (Excluding part-time C-Store Employees).
 

Requirements:

  • Identification of a referred applicant must be indicated on the individual’s application or no referral bonus will be paid.
  • The referring employee must also contact Human Resources to identify the individual as a referral or no referral bonus will be paid.
  • Management and Human Resources are not eligible for the referral program.
  • Hiring managers or supervisors within their own area of responsibility, are not eligible.
  • Should the company already be in contact with this individual, no bonus will be paid.
  • Recruiting agencies cannot be representing the referred individual.
  • Final interpretation issues about this program will rest with the President and CEO.
  • The program is administered by Human Resources.
  • Rehires are not eligible to be referred for hire for this program. Anyone with any previous service with the company is not considered a referral for this program.
 

Award Payments:

  • A full-time referral bonus of $300.00 is paid for each full time hire.
    • $200 after the successfully completion of 90 days of service and,
    • An additional, $100 after the completion of 6 months (180 days) of service.
  • A part-time referral bonus of $200.00 is paid for each hire.
    • After the completion 90 days of service.
  • A seasonal referral bonus of $200.00 is paid for each hire.
    • After the completion of a minimum of 300 hours of seasonal work.
